Jessica interest in driving was sparked by a summer job during high school. Already an avid rider, Jessica, went to work giving tours around her Victorian hometown with the Cape May Carriage Company. After a few years of working for the commercial company Jessica went away to college at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown PA where she was lucky enough to be instructed and mentored by Audrey Bostwick. Upon graduation Jessica work as a groom for CDEs and two successful draft horse hitch teams, as well as grooming for pleasure shows. Throughout this time she was also teaching and training ponies to drive. Jessica has successfully competed with her ponies at many pleasure driving shows throughout the eastern part of the country including, Walnut Hill Driving Competition in Pittsford NY, Lorenzo Driving Competition in Cazenovia, NY and Orleton Farm Pleasure Show in Stockbridge MA. Recently Jessica has started pursuing some combined driving, including a win in the 2015 Garden State combined test Preliminary Single Pony division and was recently promoted to “r” driven dressage judge with the American Driving Society. In addition to competing and judging Jessica continues to teach beginner drivers and horses from her farm Single Tree Stable based in Cape May NJ, and continuing her ridden dressage education. She earned both her 1st level scores towards pursuit of her Bronze Medal at USDF competitions the summer of 2016. She enjoys bringing new people into the sport she has grown to love so much!
